I first came across Gus on True Local while searching for someone to renovate our kitchen. Like so many others, I had experienced the trail of renovators through our home telling me what and how they will design OUR kitchen with little, if any consultation with us. Gus arrived on a Saturday morning and we knew that he was the renovator for us. From the start, he listened to what we wanted, talked things through with us and in his gentle manner gave us his expert advice. Once we had agreed on a plan, Gus and Claudine returned to take measurements and brought with them a showroom of splashback colours, bench top options and cupboard handles. They were so patient and helpful as we contemplated colours and were more than happy to allow us the time to select exactly what WE wanted. Not once throughout the whole renovation process did we feel pressured to go ahead with anything we were not comfortable with. Gus kept us informed at every stage, even as to when the plasterer, plumber and electricians would be arriving. The kitchen was completed in under two weeks, exactly as Gus said it would be, and I can honestly say was a hassle free process. I enjoyed having Gus and Claudine here, they are a lovely couple who are professional yet personal. They treated my home with the utmost of respect and at the end of everyday they tidied and cleaned where they had been working. We have enjoyed our kitchen now for two months and it is perfect. The attention to the small details and the simple fact that Gus listened to what we wanted, has ensured that our kitchen is everything we had hoped for and more. I would not hesitate to recommend Gus and Claudine and look forward to seeing them again when we renovate the bathroom.
